REVIEW | Lash Perfect Lash Extensions

As most of you know, if you read my blog, Scarlett and I went off to the Sleep-in Rollers RollerFest on the 23rd July. Whilst at the event we naughtily popped out to go and get our lashes done at the 'Lash Perfect Lash Bar' just off Carnaby Street. The Lash Bar itself is really serene, bright and calming which is a huge contrast from being in Central London. Falsies for me are normally a night out thing as they add so much to your makeup, however I've never been one to wear them in the day. However, when Scarlett sent me an email asking if I wanted to go with her and try out semi-permanent lash extensions I jumped at the chance as I have heard really mixed reviews on lash extensions.

Upon arrival,  the ladies working there were so lovely and made you feel really welcome - which is a huge contrast to some salons I have been too where I have been made to feel like I really didn't belong. They offered us drinks and got us to fill out a form specifying what we wanted our lash extensions to look like and do for us. I naturally have relatively long lashes anyway, but being me I wanted longer, thicker lashes so that it would look like I was wearing mascara - and I am so impressed with the results!

They also answered all our questions on the lashes without hesitation, which really did reassure (as if being featured on Beauty wasn't enough!). As we had been offered a half set, I instantly thought of 'half set false lashes' where the corners off your lashes are enhanced. However, the ladies explained to us that you can create a full lash look without being to heavy with just a half set - perfect.
Excited to get started we where lead down the stairs into the treatment room, which was so luxious and made you feel like you were in for a real treat. The treatment beds didn't fail either, they were so comfortable and I may have actually had to wake myself up a few times thoughout the treatment sorry not sorry. It is a compliment, honestly, as it means the treatment is completely pain free and you feel really comfortable in the room. So thank you to the girls for making us feel so welcome!

The treatment took around an hour to complete, but as I said you fall asleep and feel completely relaxed so I doesn't seem that long at all, and costs £65. These also last around 4 weeks, however you will notice a difference around the 2 week mark as they fall out with your natural lash cycle. But if you are getting them for a special occasion they are perfect.

These are my results...
just with a coat of mascara on (sorry for the facepaint I was off to EDC)
Apologies for the awful 'photobooth' picture!
They look so much fuller and longer and I just love them! I would recommend these to anyone who wants eyelashes extensions. I have had them on for nearly a week now and I have no problems with them at all. They are so light weight that I cannot even feel that they are on my lashes, you just have to be careful with them otherwise you could break the bonds. I am so impressed and definitely would consider getting the done again.
After Care
  • Do not pull off the lashes, if you need them removed contact a Lash Perfect professional. This will not effect your natural lashes.
  • Do not perm/tint your lashes.
  • Eyelash curlers should not be used.
  • Mascara should not be used as it will break the bond.
  • Gently comb your lashes everyday with an eyelash brush or comb.
  • Oil skincare products may break the bond so avoid oil based products as much as possible.
Personally I think using no oily products and not wearing mascara are small prices to pay. And considering you have fabulous lashes now anyway, you won't even need mascara!
Couple Snaps of the Salon
As you can see the salon is just as gorgeous as the treatment room and I would recommend Lash Bar in a heart beat. There staff are just lovely and so talented, it safe to say they really do care about what they do. Thank you so much for having me and giving me the perfect lustrous lashes I've always wanted. If you would like to make any enquiries at the Lash Bar please click here for there website.

Sleep Rollers

These babies seem to have taken over in the last few months, with celebrities from all over the place sporting these 'glamorous' rollers in hope of getting big, voluminous curls. I have been meaning to give these a try - just like every blogger out there - so when my friend Scarlett invited me along to Sleep-in Rollers ROLLERFEST, I jumped at the chance!

The event itself was held in the gorgeous Jewel St.Pauls, which funny enough I used to work in around Christmas last year - how the tables have turned. And after arriving promptly at 2pm (before we had to disappear off for an hour for another appointment) we helped ourselves to the complimentary champagne and had a look around the glamorous venue.
Not only was the venue lit in pink and purple lights to match the girly Sleep-in Rollers but Scar and I could not believe how many amazing treatments were on off for the bloggers and press! Including the girls from Sleep-in Rollers putting in the Rollers into your hair or in a signature huge 'scouse bun' (which I opted for) or the rollers themselves. As well as HD Brows, which I had done and am so stoked with the results (review will be up soon), and Fake Bake handing out tips for all your fake tan needs. And as if that wasn't enough, OPI where on hand giving out complimentary manicures with their new liquid sand range! I chose a lovely aqua blue while Scarlett opted for a coral - both perfect for summer.

I just want to say a huge thank you to CAN Associates and Steve Duggan for planning such a fabulous event, and I enjoyed every moment of it! It really was so much fun and I even managed to make a few contacts while I was there (exciting as I'm new to all this networking lark!).

You can find Sleep-in Roller's full range on their website

I cannot wait to try out my rollers this week and let you know how I get on with them, so keep your eyes pealed for my review! Thank you again to all involved in the event for allowing me to attend, and to Scarlett for bring me along.

REVIEW | Topshop Lipstick in Bombshell

This weekend I have been procrastinating like a bitch. I have literally sat with my laptop for hours coming up with different blog posts and just haven't been able to write a single word of any of them! I also feel like I haven't written a beauty post in a while, which is so ridiculous as, well, it's a beauty blog. So in the spirit of this gorgeous weather, I thought I would try and break this 'dry spell' of blogging by review a super bright lipstick.
Since blogging I have been trying to wear different lipsticks instead of just sticking to the same one, day after day after day after... So whilst shopping with Lorna of studs and dreams aflter the #LDNBloggersParty, we couldn't resist the chance to stop into Topshop, Oxford Circus - who can though? We justified this by just going to the sale section on the makeup counter and we both picked up this gorgeous neon, barbie pink shade!
I believe it is part of Topshop's Spring makeup collection: The Makeup Edit (better late than never). It all has cute clear packaging, which is really simple and actually allows you to see the product you are buying. On the actually packaging for the product itself, it shows the colour at the bottom to make it easy to grab a colour and go without reading labels! This differs from the core collection black and white packaging, which is nice but I can tell it would get dirty really easy and ick. I hate messy makeup.
Oh, and my lipstick review wouldn't be complete without my pout
First thing I noticed about this lipstick, before I even put it on my lips, it smells sooo good! My sister and I were debating the smell and we settled on a bubblegum candle - of all smells. Once on your lips its creamy, rich and so pigmented. It really does come out on your lips as the perfect barbie pink! I am loving this Topshop lipstick and will definitely be investing in some more eventually, so any suggestions send 'em my way.

Hello Lovelies!

As you may or may not know, I attended the #LDNBloggersParty on Saturday! This was a really big deal for me as it was my first bloggers event! I have only been blogging for around a month and a half, and had the privilege of being invited to my friend Scarlett's (of Scarlett London) event. I have been really excited about this since I got the invite about a month ago, as it is a great opportunity to mix with other bloggers and promote my blog. And as I have only been blogging for a short amount of time, I felt really honored and excited to have made the cut.

The lovely invite I received.
